Fashion week got kicked off tonight with Fashion's Night Out, an Anna Wintour [Vogue] sponsored evening of late night shopping with celebrity appearances, cocktails, and hor' dourves. Unfortunately the stores that actually did have all these things going on [some just stayed open late like, "the lights are on, you gonna buy something or what?"] had the craziest lines and crowds making it almost impossible to actually shop... or even see the clothes.
My pictures of the evening are more a montage of lines and crowds with a few interesting faces and pieces....
RACHEL Rachel Roy on Spring Street
a branded ice cream truck is baller status

my baby's gonna have Y-3's... fuck-a-adidas!

KIRNA ZABETE on GREENE STREET
one of those small designer boutiques that you always wanted to go into but always get too distracted by big name stores. This store actually had the best atmosphere of the night with a nice crowd, not to packed, definitely not empty, a variety of cocktails, and a killer selection of Fall 09 clothing and accessories that were actually visible.
love her for looking chic behind the turntable... the tomboy girl dj look is so 2006

INTERMIX ON PRINCE STREET
caught Rihanna coming out the store. You know she can actually see through those glasses?

*the awesome thing about the night was that you were able to take pics inside the store. something you are NEVER allowed to do
