SO WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO?

Me? I been cooking these clothes, taggin 'em and, selling em kidd.

Last, last weekend I did a sale in my hometown. The love is love, love brooches just about sold out and the ladies really appreciated the craftsmanship.

Then, last Friday, I did the Run & Eat Radio Show with ehTMills and Nerdii. You can listen to the show Archive [here] while you continue you to read. Big Thanks to the homie, J-Bird for putting me on.

All this was a build up to THE BIG WEEKEND. August 21 and 22 I had two shows in two days in two diffent spots and would be selling at the Hester Street Fair for the first time. I was geeked...

Saturday [the 21st] was cool. The product was tight. The crowd was loving it.

I, of course, took pics when no one was around so you would think I was lying

LIVE AND UNCUT CUT [AND SEWN]

This month I will be showing the  love is love, love summer collection at three different locations...

The Bethel Bazaar will take place on 10th Ave in my hometown, Huntington Station, Long Island! Perfect place to check the line out if you spend your weekends in the burbs. The Young Designer's Market, [on the 21st] at 268 Mulberry Street, is a great place to stop by while your shopping around in bustling SoHo, NYC. Or, if you're the type that perfers a quiet Sunday stroll through the park, come by The Hester Street Market on Hester and Essex in LES, NYC. The Market takes place between a b-ball court and a tree lined area so, there is a real chill, weekend vibe there. Each event runs from 10am-6pm.

THE SUMMER OF LOVE

The love is love, love summer collection is here and it totally feels like I'm birthing my love child with fashion... again [my oldest child being The Signature Varsity Jacket Collection]. This is the line's first lookbook featuring six new READY-TO-WEAR styles and 1 new summertime varsity jacket. Each and every piece is available now at loveislovelove.bigcartel.com.

This summer the tank top, a warm weather must-have, gets some love. It is reinvented to be edgy, sexy, playful, and practical all at once in three different ways. As always each style is comprised of only the highest quality materials. The list of luxurious fabrics include silk jacquard, crepe de chine, and charmeuse, a super soft, super slinky viscose rayon, a cotton/lycra slub knit, and corduroyed lambskin. Everything is still handcrafted in BK and made especially for the ladies with body.

The Draped Muscle Tank was inspired by its amazing fabrication. The ethnic mesh burnout effortlessly adds interest to the athletic racer back silhouette.

The One Piece Tank, available in black and coral [the best summer color in the world], appears to look like your average long knit tank at first glance, and that's dope because who can't use a long, solid tank in the summer? But, a closer look reveals a sexy Brazilian bikini line filled in with sheer fabric.

LOVE IN SOHO

Well technically it's "NoHo" but, it's all Love baby!

For the first time ever, I will be showing at The Young Designers Market.

Pieces from the  Reflections of Love Brooch Collection will be available for immediate purchase and I will be taking orders for the infamous Made-to-Measure Varsity Jackets.

Entrance to the market is free all day and it runs from 11am to 7pm.

REFLECTIONS OF LOVE

love is love, love's first accessories collection entitled Reflections of Love.

1. Tre Love Brooch. Three mirror hearts overlapping with chains draped over, through, and under them.
2. Stacked Sweater Pin. Chains run through stacked mirror hearts to create each base. Mutli-textured chains connect them.
3. Two Piece, One Love Pin. A small heart connects to two stacked larger hearts with multi-textured chains.
4. Hell-Raising Type of Love Pin. Two piece pin made of a single studded heart that connects to two stacked hearts with multi-textured chains. The bottom layer of the stacked hearts is encrusted with Swarovski crystals. Can be worn on one side or as a sweater pin.

The first style, Tre Love, was designed out of necessity. I made a jacket without a logo and needed another way to brand/ accessorize it but, I was so inspired by the materials, I continued to come up with ideas even after the need was filled. I also recently became interested in sweater pins and was determined to create a more modern version. The result is a 4 piece collection of shimmering broaches that features crystal clear, reflective surfaces, unique chain textures and dual wearability. The most extravagant piece from the collection also features metal spikes and Swarovski crystals. Each pin is handmade and built of three hearts, representing the three love's in the brand name.

LOVE IS LOVE, LOVE VARSITY JACKETS NOW AVAILABLE

I thought the best way to introduce a clothing line about street wear, femininity, and superior quality was to begin with a collection of body conscious varsity jackets. Through detailed construction, unique fabrication, and intense embellishments, menswear brands like Y-3 and Opening Ceremony have evolved the varsity jacket from a sporty/casual outerwear piece to a cold weather statement. 

love is love, love women's varsity jackets are designed to have the same cool, casual gone classy attitude, without compromising fit or quality. The core body and sleeves are tailored to have a slimmer fit and accentuate feminine curves, with padding added to the shoulders for a more fashion forward fit.  Each style is a core color, making it easy to tie-in with your wardrobe, with a focus on the texture of the wool and patterned leather. Oversized chest logos are  embellished with glass jewels and studs. Print and jacquard linings are specifically selected to complement the outer aesthetic and are further quilted with medium weight batting, providing warmth and maintaining a trim fit. A waist pocket and chain appliqué main label are also found inside of each of the jackets.

100% wool felt with Chantilly lace overlay on front and back panels. Genuine leather sleeves laser cut to have the texture of alligator skin. Front welt pockets made with the same leather. Collar, hem, and sleeve cuffs are all quilted wool felt. Jet black glass jewels create the triple L monogram on the chest. Lace detail is printed on the lining. Black wool welt pocket inside right front panel and back inside neckline features gunmetal chain logo.

BLUE SNAKE

100% molten [that means it's soft and comfy] wool body. Genuine leather sleeves and pockets treated with a reflective metallic finish and snake skin pattern. Collar and body hem are quilted wool,  resembling the rib knit usually used on varsity jackets, but providing a more structured fit. There is an option of finishing the sleeve with a quilted cuff [shown in the first photo] or snap placket [shown in the flat pictures]. Instead of a large logo, this style has a functioning chest pocket and comes with a removable triple heart pin. The lining is 100% silk jacquard. Welt pocket inside right front panel and silver chain inside logo.

BLACK FLOWER

The body of this jacket is actually a charcoal herringbone made of a wool/cashmere blend. The genuine leather sleeves have multiple sized and shaped perforations that form a dynamic floral motif. The double welt waist pockets use this leather as well. The collar and hem are quilted herringbone and the sleeves finish with snap plackets. The triple L chest logo is made up of gold-tone set, ivory glass jewels with gold-tone studs surrounding them. The multi-color jacquard lining echo's, both, the floral pattern on the sleeves and the herringbone texture of the body fabric and peaks through the perforations on the sleeve. There is, of course, an interior waist pocket and the inside main label is done in a gold-tone chain appliqué.

Everything is handcrafted by yours truly, in Brooklyn.
